Hms victory model plans

I think to build the whole ship in scale 1:50 (actually the appealing range is more like 1:48 – 1:70) Starting with hull and finishing with rigging and sails. I am not sure what zoly99sask means by saying that I need to decide what part I want to build… I also checked out Alex’s HMS Victory, beautiful model it is, and I am looking/aiming to build something like that. I had a look through the Anatomy of the Ship The 100-Gun Ship Victory by John Mckay Thank you zoly99sask and Uwek for your replies. However, does it contain plans, pictures sufficient to build the model or it is more like supplementary position treating about history of the ship so I still would need to acquire the plans elsewhere? I understand that this book obviously is about building and restoration of the Nelson’s ship.

However, would someone be able to confirm if those 2 volumes be everything, I need to build the model, I want to build it in 1:50 scale preferably.Īll I heard is that it is incredibly good book, but I couldn’t find any satisfactory description of it and of what it contains.

However, I always wanted to build Hms Victory but I’m looking to get a very good planset as detailed as Le Fleuron one. On this forum I found a wonderful plan set review of LE FLEURON 64-gun Ship by Joseph & Blaise OLLIVIER – 1729 by Gerard Delacroix and Jean BoudriotĪlmost convinced me to commit to build that ship.
